OUR LOCAL POLICE FORCE
PC Gary Chennells (visit main info page here)

I am 29, and am into my 9th year as a Police officer, during which time I have held positions on the Divisional Crime Investigation Team, Targeted Patrol Reponse Team, and have now taken on the challenge of being a Neighbourhood Specialist officer for arguably the busiest area of Surrey Heath. I have performed duties as acting sergeant on numerous occasions, as well as making around 400 arrests. I am enthusiastic in my role, and have ambitions to progress through the ranks during the course of my career.

During time off from work I can often be found in the gym, or climbing the mountains of the United Kingdom. I also enjoy carp fishing, and am a keen footballer having previously played for Camberley Town and Surrey Police.

Please check back regularly for updates regarding the town, and in the mean time, enjoy it!

PC Dale Hathaway (visit main info page here)

I’m PC Dale Hathaway, one of three Beat Officers for Camberley Town Centre. I started this role in February 2009 after taking a career break from the Police where I travelled around the world for a year. I experienced so many things, had a great time and hope that my time away will assist me in Policing. I have been a Police Officer since 2001 and have been involved in several areas of Policing, including the response team, investigation team, the Police Support Unit, the Chemical Response Team and Neighbourhood Policing, where I was the Beat Officer for the Old Dean Estate in Camberley. I like the old style of Policing and enjoy being a “Bobby on the Beat”. Please feel free to call me or stop me in the street if you have any Police related issues. You can contact me on 01483 639880 but please be aware that I work shifts so if I am unavailable, please call 0845 125 22 22.

PCSO Gemma May Taylor (visit main info page here)

I am PCSO Gemma Taylor and I am one of two Police Community Support Officers for Camberley Town Centre. I joined Surrey Police in June 2010 after finishing a Law degree at Exeter University. Whilst studying I worked part time as a Student Community Warden, which involved working closely with partner agencies and the Police to run community events. I hope I can use the skills I have acquired to really engage with the community in the town, as well as tackling anti-social behaviour and helping to reduce crime through high visibility patrolling.

Alongside my colleague, I will be your point of contact if you have any issues or concerns and I will do my best to help resolve any problems. Please feel free to contact me via email and telephone, otherwise I look forward to meeting you whilst out on patrol.
