We
thought this would
be useful. The rules
and regulations of the new
A30 bus lanes.
We have been given the
following information
from an Engineer of
the Surrey Heath Local
Transportation Office dated 02.06.04.
"The Bus Lane is operational between
7am & 9.30am and 4pm & 7pm Monday
to
Friday inclusive and is restricted to
use by buses, cycles, HGV's over 7.5
tonnes and Hackney Carriages only at
these times. At all other times then
the lane may be used by private motor
vehicles."
So basically what this means is that
ANY private motor
vehicle can use the bus lanes at
these key times:
1. ALL DAY Saturdays and Sundays.
2.
On your busy lunchtime breaks Monday
to Friday when you need to commute into
or out off Camberley town.
3. Really the only times you cannot use them is during the rush hours Mon - Fri.

information regarding the A30 bus lanes:
Q. So has there been an increase in customer use of the buses? Q. Has there been an increase in carbon emissions (be it small) due to rush hour traffic jams? Q. Has the service for Stagecoach customers improved? Q. Are people using the bus lanes correctly and not breaking the law?
